Why RHT Massage?

At Restore Health Therapeutic Massage, my goal is to provide you with a relaxing experience both tired muscles and mental stress. Massage has countless benefits, including:

I am incredibly grateful for TaNisha's guidance. Her reiki sessions always blow me away because she is intuitive to what my body needs. She listens and helps me process my emotions or anything else I experience during a session. TaNisha approaches her work without judgment. She is patient and down to Earth. I carry all of my tension in my neck and shoulders. It gets so bad that sometimes I can’t even move my neck at all. I am also a migraine sufferer and the tension in my neck and shoulders can trigger a migraine. Tanisha’s healing hands are amazing and she is always able to provide relief by loosening all of the muscles. I am so grateful to have found her!

As a person with scoliosis there are many times when the muscle strain, pain, and resulting spasms cause my life activities to be impacted. TaNisha is always able to work those muscles and relieve the spasms and pain. She is equally gifted in reflexology as in deep muscle massage. About Me

TaNisha Balarezo, owner of Restore Health Therapeutic Massage, graduated from the Fuller Advanced School of Massage Therapy and from there began her career working in chiropractic offices. She specializes in deep tissue techniques, trigger point work and stretching. Through continuing education she is certified as a Massage Cupping Practitioner via Modern Cupping Therapy Education Company, a Certified Reiki Master/Teacher, via Healing Concepts, and an Advanced Crystal Healer with Hibiscus moon. She also offers Craniosacral therapy. reflexology and aromatherapy. Working independently in her own office in Virginia Beach, she enjoys being able to offer a variety of services to create a massage which provides a healing and relaxing experience for her clients.

She received her Spiritual Life Coaching diploma from A.R.E. Cayce Reilly school, and is excited to be able to offer this service to my clients. With so many things shifting in the world, people are yearning to know themselves better and to design the life they have always wanted. She is happy to help you clarify what you want, change your pattern, to believe in you, and to encourage you so that you can step outside the box and bring that design to life. Her coaching provides you with the guidance and empowerment needed to help you reach your goals.

FAQ

Will I have to be completely undressed?

Massage sessions generally require you to be undressed to your level of comfort. You will be draped properly during your session. Reiki, intuitive energy work and Craniosacral sessions do not require you to be undressed.

What should I expect during my first massage therapy visit?

You will be required to fill out intake and covid 19 forms and your therapist will go over questions with you to determine the appropriate massage for you. Please make sure you therapist is aware of any allergies you may have to oils, nuts or fragrances.

When should I not get a massage?

There are a few reasons in which you should not get a massage. You should not book if you have a fever, cold/flu, contagious skin infection. There are specific conditions which you may need to discuss with your therapist in which she may need to change technique or a doctor’s release may be required. Your therapist will advise you about your specific needs.

How will I feel after my massage treatment?

Most people will feel very relaxed. Some will feel a decrease in aches and pains. Many will feel an increase in energy after a time, and an increase awareness and productivity. If you have received a deep tissue massage you may experience some soreness the next day, like you have had a good work out. A hot shower or a soak in an Epson salt bath can help.

Are there any cancellation fees?

Missed appointments or those canceled with less than 24-hour’s notice will be charged $25 fee. Please give 24-hours notice if you need to reschedule your appointment so that hour may be made available to others.
